ABOUT EVA (ey-va)

Eva Lou Phillips is an illustrator, designer, and author based in Atlanta, GA. She discovered her passion for picture books while studying Illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and her author/illustrator debut, Frogatha’s Birthday, will be released in spring 2028 with Tundra Books.

Eva's work is vibrant, playful, richly textured, and visually inspired by mid-century modern and Scandinavian design. In her practice, Eva often combines traditional media like watercolor, gouache, wax pastel, and colored pencil with digital drawing tools.

Eva has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, and 3x3 Magazine. For all things publishing, she is represented by Claire Morance at Painted Words.
