About Eva

Eva Lou Phillips is an author, illustrator, and graphic designer from St. Louis, Missouri. She specializes in children’s book illustration and surface design, and her work has been recognized by The Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, and 3x3 Magazine. In her practice, Eva often combines traditional media like watercolor and gouache with digital drawing programs, and she finds much of her inspiration in mid-century modern and Scandinavian aesthetics. When she isn’t working, you can find her crocheting, embroidering, or doodling funky animal characters.

Eva holds a BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art. For all things publishing, she is represented by Claire Morance at Painted Words.
